Premier David Mabuza accompanied by MECs, SALGA and Traditional Authority chairpersons and Mpumalanga Executive Mayors, on Thursday the 13 of August 2015 in ward 1 Mkhuhlu officially launched “Vuka sisebente” operation Mpumalanga Development Implementing Model/ war room.
The main objective of this “Vuka sisebente” operation is to speed up service delivery to all people of the public and to reduce unnecessary protests in Mpumalanga. Premier introduced the Mkhuhlu war room committee members chaired by Councillor Malandule in ward 1. All ward Counsellors are the chairpersons of the war room, said the Premier. Community Development Workers, Taxi Associations, Church Leaders, Traditional Healers, Traditionalleaders and other stakeholders in the war room will make sure that government deliver services to the people. This is a great initiative to implement government services.
The Premier responded to all grievances raised by community members, War rooms will address community needs within the period of six month. All sector departments and municipalities were urged to deliver services to the people. School uniform, food parcels, wheel chairs and blankets were given to the identified needy people.
