LOCAL AND HOME MADE BUSINESSES CELEBRATED THROUGH THE BUSHBUCKRIDGE BUSINESS AND TOURISM AWARDS

 The Bushbuckridge Local Municipality (BLM) in partnership with the Bushbuckridge Local Tourism Organization (BLTO) and the Bushbuckridge Chamber of Commerce (BCC) will for the first time ever host the “Bushbuckridge Business and Tourism Awards” in a fashionable style. The glittering event is planned to take place on the 28th of May 2016 at the Secret Hill Lodge (next to Andover Reserve) at 17H00 hours in Bushbuckridge.

The main objective of the event is to assist local businesses by guiding them to introduce generic standards for planning, developing, implementing and improving excellence in their business and value chain. To introduce specific minimum requirement for business operations and performance, organizations measurement and monitoring of service standards in their respective business value chain. To introduce a credible service standard that includes, credible marketing, quality products and excellent service and also introduce performance system that enables effective monitoring and evaluation.

The Bushbuckridge Business and Tourism Awards Ceremony will honour categories that inter-alia includes the following:

  • Best Media House
  • Best Cleanness Village
  • Best Guest House
  • Best Traditional Dancers Group
  • Best Run Franchise
  • Best Run Supermarket
  • Best Local Artist
  • Best Construction Company
  • Best Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
  • Best Farmer
  • Best Run Bank

The municipality takes pleasure in hosting this glittering event since it believes that it will urge local businesses to do more and better. It will also attract investors to invest in the Bushbuckridge area.

The municipality is hoping that through this initiative as it is of its own kind and hosted for the first time in the history of Bushbuckridge, more business opportunities will be opened in Bushbuckridge. The awards ceremony will invigorate a vibrant and economically active tourism sector that in turn stimulates job creation and economic growth with Bushbuckridge
