PROFILE OF DIRECTOR: CORPORATE SERVICES

Mr Richard Khoza, the Director Corporate Services was appointed as the Acting Director from  January 2014 until June 2014.He was appointed as Director in July 2014. Mr Khoza joined the Municipality since 2007 in the following positions in order:  Asset Manager (March 2013- June 2014), Supply Chain Manager (April 2011- February 2013) and Labour Relations (July 2007- March 2011). Mr Khoza had an international stint of international work experience with Interspace Ltd as a Research Assistant (Business Processes Project for the British Council in African Countries), United Kingdom while studying in Lancaster University Management School in the Northern England. He also serve on the SALGA Mpumalanga’s Inter Governmental and Governance Relations (IGGR) Working Group. Other work experience in order include being a Cost Manager; Roads and Bridges Maintenance (Department of Roads and Transport), Administrative Officer and Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) Champion: Roads and Bridges Maintenance for the former Bohlabela Public Works Project Centre and Educator for the Masingitana Secondary School in the Cottondale Circuit.
Relative to his work experience, The Director hold full time Master of Business Administration (MBA)(200) from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom, Bachelor of Commerce in Informatics (2007) and Bachelor of Arts(1999) (UNISA), and Higher Diploma in Education (1992) (Giyani College of Education in Association with Wits University) and he is  currently enrolled for an LLB with
UNISA and the Municipal Finance Management Programme (MFMP) with the latter as a requirement for the National Treasury’s Minimum Competency Level requirement . For professional enhancement he obtained various career oriented certificates in labour relations including managing discipline, disputes and/ or grievances, contract management and competitive bidding in the public service, supervision and roads maintenance as well as transferring knowledge in the workplace.
